Less Than Truckload (LTL)

  • Parcels from many different shippers on truck.
  • Cost is split among all shippers.
  • Truck will make stops at distribution centers to drop, pick up, or consolidate.
  • Takes more time to deliver.

Full Truckload (FTL)

  • Truck carries product from one shipper.
  • Arrives at destination with no stops to drop or pick up.
  • Quicker ship time.
  • More economical only if the truck is full.

Axle Weight

  • Maximum weight each axle can be.
  • 9100kg for primary highway.
  • 8100kg for secondary or municipal highway.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

  • Used to reduce emission from diesel exhaust.
